There are worse places to run, that’s for sure. Today’s training was grueling: 9xHills in Alston Park in Napa, with a two minute rest after the fifth rep. Each rep was about eight-tenths of a mile, for a total of a little over 7 miles of seven percent grade hills. Woo!

“There are worse places to be.” That’s a line I say a lot, because as frustrated as I am with my apparent inability to find a job back in my field (and get the hell out of hospitality), and as frustrated as I am with my totally-not-independent living situation, in the end it’s not terrible. This is, after all, one of the most beautiful places in the world.
