The Weakerthans - Wellington’s Wednesdays
Today’s #OperationPunkRock.
The Weakerthans - Everything Must Go
A song about selling all your shit. It’s been on repeat all day long.
Raffi - Baby Beluga
MC Solaar - Solaar Pleure
This makes me so happy. Givers with Dickie Landry and the Michot brothers covering Paul Simon’s That Was Your Mother.
I hesitate to call them an indie artist, because the term has accumulated (in my mind at least) a lot of negative connotations. Everyone’s been calling themselves fucking indie lately. Does anyone even know “indie” stands for “independent”, regardless of your style? And not some quasi-hipster shit that everyone seems to think they can make (well).
Fuck that.
I’m upset at life, so maybe this little vent/rage episode I’ve got going on is more a reflection of that, than of me not appreciating the efforts of countless questionably talented self-proclaimed musicians.
And I’ve digressed.
This band is good, was my original point (:

Alexi Murdoch - Orange Sky
Really awful video (it’s not bad, just a literal orange sky, but there’s some gratuitous cheesiness at the end). But I love this song. So big time.
I blame TV Hangover and their OC recaps for making me revisit the songs of my high school experience. Oh god … Jason Mraz, trucker hats, “Your Body is a Wonderland.” It’s all coming back to me. Make it stop.
